About Me

I began painting dog portraits many years ago for friends and family. It was a joy for me and for them to see their beloved pets come to life in a new and colorful way. My own three kitties are a constant source of painting material and inspiration! I continue to paint for loved ones but also began selling my art to others who have become familiar with my work. I love bright and colorful paintings and have been inspired by many other artists. I am also passionate about painting still life images that make for fun kitchen wall hangings of fruits, vegetables and flowers. Its a true blessing and joy to fulfill my artistic passion after spending years in a successful career as a licensed psychotherapist.

Each piece is painted with acrylic paint on wood artist panels with the paint wrapped around the wide 1 1/2" edges, making for an interesting effect. No need to frame. I work from photographs of your pet, that you provide. The better the photo, the better the portrait. The price varies depending on size and whether you choose to include more than one pet in your portrait and/or a complex background to capture your pet in their favorite spot! This might be outdoors or on a favorite sofa, etc. This can add up to 40% increase to the overall cost. Most portraits and artwork are 11x14, however you can also opt for a square piece of art 12x12. Largest is 16 x 20.
